The pro-democracy majority has been losing the imagination battle. Way to Win is fighting on the battlegrounds of media and persuasion and starting to turn this around.
Thanks and I totally agree! The main production genius behind all of these was Matt McLaughlin, and Morris Katz helped pinch hit on a couple of 'em when Matt was hard side or otherwise not available. When we first met Matt the firm he worked with was called WIN co. Some of the team from that have reassembled as Fight Agency, the same folks who are handling media and strategy for Mamdani and Platner and others. Genuinely incredible and brilliant people.
I think it was this post that got me wondering if there's a mostly painless way (read inexpensive) to reuse the many fantastic Amplify Freedom ads produced for the '24 election this year and next, at least (TBH, could have been any number of things I've jotted down to use in my bi-weekly Monday Messaging Missives email to my local Indivisible members or send to maybe key people I've bumped into ...).
I know that pretty much everyone in and around Amplify understands the opportunity multiple campaigns missed by not putting even a little bit of their massive aligned PACs' war chests behind key Amplify ads (Defiance, Rainbow, Superhuman), in particular in PA and OH where small shifts could have saved Casey (especially Casey; 13,000 votes!) and Brown, and of course Harris in PA and elsewhere.
Not that the hurdles to getting real money behind these (kinds of) ads aren't still there, but if we start on them now/soon, the chance of clearing them ought to go up.
What’s Possible is a great video and its message still resonates.
Love the animation, and VO. (Can you share who made the animation?)
